Article Marketing
Guide
Here is a step by step article marketing guide
to help propel your internet marketing article techniques to
another level...
How to implement article marketing
into your off-page search engine optimization marketing
strategy:
Without going into great detail here, basically
what most article marketing specialist will tell you is to
write two articles for every page on your web
site. Here is an example of what I mean;
Article Marketing Guide
101
Let's say you have a fairly new web site that
you just published and this web site has ten pages on it
so far. In order to make your article marketing
strategy effective, you will need to write two articles per
page. So in this example of a 10 page web site you will
want to write two articles per page for a grand total of 20
articles.
Anchor text - It is very
important that you include the anchor text in the author
resource box of your article. To site an example
let's say that the theme of your site is computer parts
and supplies. If one of your web pages is
about motherboards, then you need to make sure that when
you write the article that there's a link in the author
resource box with the keyword "motherboards' in
the url linking back to your web page.
So once again using the above example, you
will be writing two articles with links (in the author resource
box) pointing back to your web page about
motherboards.
One important note here; If you are a
adsense publisher then make sure that the main keyword or
keywords in the article is different than the keywords on
the page that your linking back to. For example;
Using the example above, if your writing an
article that is linking back to your web page on motherboards
(using the keyword motherboards as the anchor text url in
the author resource box), then make sure that the main keyword
in the article is different than the page it's linking back
to. So you will want to write an article about how to
backup your hard drive with 'backup your hard drive' as your
main keyword in the article with the keyword 'motherboards' as
the main keyword anchor text linking back to your web page
about motherboards.
The reason why you don't want to have the
article and the web page it's linking back to using the
same keywords is because you will be competing against yourself
on the results page of the search engines. This would be
especially destructive if your an adsense
publisher.
Which article directories should
you submit your articles to:
The number one article directory on the
internet hands down is ezinearticles.com -- The other
directory that I use (I only use two) are goarticles.com
---
So using the example above with your 10 page
web site on computer parts and supplies, this would be one of
your ideal article marketing tips;
Write one article to ezinearticles.com
with the keyword 'motherboard" as the anchor text
url in the resource author box (linking back to the
web page on motherboards) --
Then write another article to goarticles.com
with the keyword 'motherboard" as the anchor text
url in the resource author box (linking back to the
web page on motherboards) --
When using anchor text urls as links always
make sure that the anchor text varies. If all of your
anchor text urls have the exact same keyword
then that will probably put up a red flag (spamming),
for that is not natural.
Although that being said, there are some very
prominent internet gurus and marketer's who will tell you to
use the same anchor text linking back to your web page and that
varying your anchor text is a myth. They say if you vary
your anchor text, it will take away from some of it's link
juice.
